The Supreme Council of Universities and the Egyptian Information Network Announce the First Authorized Distributor for Egyptian Domain Names (.eg) in Collaboration with EgyHosting
Cairo, [12-5-2025] – In a significant step aimed at enhancing digital infrastructure and facilitating access to reliable Egyptian domains, the Supreme Council of Universities and the Egyptian Information Network have announced the signing of an agreement with EgyHosting. Under this agreement, EgyHosting is officially recognized as the first authorized distributor for Egyptian domain names (.eg).
The signing ceremony was attended by high-level representatives from both parties. Representing the Supreme Council of Universities and the Egyptian Information Network was Engineer Dina Barakat along with officials responsible for domain registration operations.
From EgyHosting, the ceremony was attended by Engineer Mohamed Shaheen Fathy, Chairman of the Board, along with several company sector directors, including Engineer/Sanaa Saber, Operations Manager, and Engineer/Sumaya Ahmed, Development Sector Manager.
This strategic partnership comes as part of the efforts by the Supreme Council of Universities and the Egyptian Information Network to expand the services for registering Egyptian domains and make them accessible to a wider range of users, including individuals, institutions, and companies. Through this collaboration with EgyHosting, registration procedures will be simplified, making it easier for users to obtain a distinctive digital identity under the Egyptian domain (.eg).
Engineer Dina Barakat expressed her happiness with this important collaboration, emphasizing that the selection of EgyHosting as the first authorized distributor reflects confidence in the company's capabilities and its commitment to providing outstanding services.
