Corporate Social Responsibility

Corporate Social Responsibility

Technology is only worth it when it lifts people up

At EgyHosting we treat reliable hosting as public infrastructure for opportunity. Our social responsibility programme puts that infrastructure to work for Egyptian charities, students, small founders and the environment we all share.

  • Free hosting for non-profits
  • Training for young developers
  • Energy-conscious infrastructure
Our promise

We would rather be useful than loud

Every website we host belongs to someone with a goal: a clinic that needs to be found, a teacher publishing free lessons, a graduate launching a first idea. That is the real product. Social responsibility, for us, is simply taking that seriously all the way down to the server.

So we do not run a separate “charity department”. The same engineers, the same data centres and the same support desk that serve our paying customers serve our community partners - with the same response times and the same standards.

We only publish what we can evidence. If we cannot measure it, we will not claim it.

Where we focus

Six commitments we work on every year

Each one has a named owner inside the company, a budget, and a result we report on.

Energy-efficient hosting

Dense virtualisation, modern low-consumption hardware and planned refresh cycles mean fewer machines doing more work. We choose data-centre partners that publish their power and cooling standards, and we retire equipment through certified recyclers instead of landfill.

Free hosting for non-profits

Registered Egyptian charities, associations and community initiatives receive free or heavily subsidised hosting, a domain, an SSL certificate and hands-on migration help - so that a limited budget is never the reason a good cause stays invisible.

Digital skills for young people

Workshops, paid internships and mentoring in server administration, web development and cyber security, plus free lab accounts for university clubs and training centres. We hire from these cohorts first.

Backing small founders

Hosting credits, architecture reviews and flexible payment terms for early-stage Egyptian businesses and social enterprises - practical help in the months when every pound is spoken for.

Privacy and digital trust

Customer data is a responsibility, not an asset to trade. Plain-language policies, no dark patterns in cancellation or renewal, prompt abuse handling, and a protection-first stance on content that harms children or targets vulnerable people.

Accessibility and inclusion

We help partner organisations build sites that work for everyone: accessible markup, proper Arabic typography and right-to-left layouts, and pages that stay fast on modest phones and weak connections.

How we work

Four rules we hold ourselves to

No claim without evidence

Numbers on this page come from our own records and are updated quarterly. We would rather show a small honest figure than a large vague one.

Same service, no second tier

Community accounts sit on the same platform, with the same uptime target and the same support queue as every other customer.

Local first

We hire, train and buy inside Egypt wherever we can, and we support the communities our team actually lives in.

Independent of politics

We support causes, not campaigns. Our programmes are open to any lawful organisation serving the public, without political or religious conditions.

Aligned with the goals that matter

Our programmes are mapped to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and to Egypt Vision 2030.

  • Quality education
  • Decent work and growth
  • Industry and innovation
  • Climate action
  • Partnerships for the goals
  • Egypt Vision 2030 - Digital Egypt
Work with us

If you are building something good, we want to carry part of the load

We are looking for partners whose work we can genuinely support with infrastructure, engineering time and teaching - not for logos to put on a slide.

Who we partner with

  • Registered charities, foundations and community associations
  • Universities, schools, student clubs and training centres
  • Developer communities and open-source projects
  • Companies that want to run a joint programme with us
